I’m a warm, behaviorally grounded therapist who will meet you with compassion and real-world tools—so you feel understood, learn what’s driving the patterns, and build skills that make daily life worth living.
I'm a therapist with a practical approach grounded in DBT and behavioral principles. I work with clients stuck in intense emotions, anxiety, shame, or repeating relationship patterns. I draw from DBT, CBT, and behavioral strategies while keeping work collaborative and tailored to you. Many clients want clear tools and practice to manage overwhelm, reduce reactivity, improve communication, and feel more steady. Whether navigating stress, transitions, neurodivergent traits, or patterns that don't match who you're trying to be, my goal is to help you feel understood and empowered—with a practical plan you can use.
My style is warm, direct, practical. I use DBT and behavioral strategies to help you identify patterns and practice skills that work. I also use CBT for thinking patterns. You can expect collaboration, accountability, and real-world focus through coping plans and communication practice. My goal is for you to leave with skills you can use independently.
If you've been carrying a lot while staying functional, you're not alone. Therapy is a place where you feel genuinely understood and learn skills to make life more manageable, one step at a time. If you're ready for supportive, practical work grounded in real change and compassion, I'd be honored to work with you. Schedule an appointment when you're ready.

A therapist dedicated to helping people find their sense of purpose and identity and helping people heal from experiences that may be preventing growth and contentment in life.
My name is Chad. I began my journey in mental health treatment in 2009 after leaving seven years of service in the United States Air Force. I earned a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2012 and achieved licensure in 2014.I was certified in EMDR in 2011 and have been actively treating trauma symptoms for over 15 years. I've learned to integrate CBT and Narrative therapy into my practice for a more complete approach to recovery. I also help clients build boundaries, improve coping skills, develop better communication methods, resolve conflict more effectively, and pursue their life goals.
Life experiences shape how we see and respond to the world. Some lead to growth and strength. Others—toxic people, traumatic events, undeserved hardship—limit our sense of identity and control. Improved boundaries and communication help clients build healthier support. Trauma therapies help heal from past wounds and live more fully in the present.
Everybody has their own story. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and helping you write the next chapters in your life. Nothing is certain, but I will offer you the best guidance and insight I can provide and help you take your next steps forward. I look forward to meeting you and beginning this journey together.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Thriveworks Couples therapy helps couples work through their specific relationship issues. It is led by licensed professionals — often licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) — who are experts in their field and best-equipped to help couples. Some examples of common focuses within couples therapy include:
Couples therapy works by helping couples identify and better navigate their unique challenges. Following an initial assessment of the couple in terms of strengths and needs, the therapist would then discuss their therapeutic goals and any possible approaches or ways of working together as therapist and couple.Couples attend sessions together, whether they meet in person or by video. In addition to regular couples therapy sessions, each partner may also be asked to attend a few individual sessions to supplement their progress. This will allow their counselor to get to know each individual better, assess each of their personal needs, and develop the very best treatment plan moving forward.
Couples therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and via Online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you and your partner.
On average, couples attend couples therapy for 12 weeks. However, couples therapy may last longer or shorter, dependent on the couples’ needs, the challenges they’d like to work through, and the pace of their progress.
You are two different people with varying personalities and perspectives who are trying to share the one life each of you has, so you won’t always feel like you’re on the same page. Even when everything seems great in your relationship, there are still opportunities for the both of you to take an active role in building your connection and deepening intimacy.
As a couple, the two of you have a limited perspective on what works and what doesn’t work, in terms of relationship building and conflict resolution go. At Thriveworks Westminster Couples Counseling, however, we have worked with individuals and couples of all kinds and, therefore, have a broad knowledge base that we can draw from when seeking therapy methods to fit your unique needs. Reach out today for help.
The way things are between you and your significant other — good or bad — are not the way they will be forever. Your lives and the world around you are changing with each moment, and so one of the “secrets” to healthy relationships is being open with each other about those changes, and how they affect each of you individually and in relation to one another. Thriveworks Westminster Couples Counseling, then, exists to help all couples navigate those conversations and transitions in a way that is rooted in mutual benefit and 100 percent transparency.
A misconception out there is that couples counseling (or mental health therapy of any kind) is meant for only “other people” who have “serious problems.” It’s easy for us to minimize our own experiences and eschew help, simply because we believe that if we enter into counseling, we are acknowledging that the relationship is dangerously out of our control. If we don’t get help, maybe our problems are small enough that we can handle them ourselves.
Our caring, qualified couples counselors are here to help you make progress, not to keep going about business as usual when the paths to mutual respect and deepening intimacy are available. Perhaps you’re not moving forward because you don’t know how to move forward. Let us show you the way. It’s more possible than you think.
If your relationship is in a tough spot, there is still hope that you can make it better. If your relationship is already in pretty good shape, we can help you make it great.
Helping a relationship flourish may look different from couple to couple, but a Thriveworks Westminster counselor can help you learn how to:

As such, we offer new clients same-week appointments in addition to other benefits including evening and weekend session options, most major insurances accepted, and more.
