“In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety” (Abraham Maslow). Sometimes what feels safe, comfortable, and familiar, is actually unhealthy; change can be hard and the unknown scary. Do you feel stuck, repeating toxic patterns or negative thinking? Have life events or stress become overwhelming or seem unmanageable? Maybe you just need a supportive space to talk about what you’re going through and how you are feeling.

As a South-Asian therapist, I bring warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for your unique story, drawing from both my professional training and my lived experience to create a space where you feel truly seen and supported.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 4 years of experience supporting individuals through life transitions, anxiety, grief, mood disorders, trauma, and substance use. I specialize in working with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—from themselves, their relationships, or their sense of purpose. Many of my clients come to therapy seeking clarity, healing, and a more grounded sense of self. Together, we work to understand patterns that no longer serve them, build resilience, and cultivate meaningful change.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and I ground my approach in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I support clients in slowing down, tuning into their emotions and patterns, and making intentional choices.
I know that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I want you to know you are not alone in whatever you are facing. If you’re ready to explore your story and take steps toward healing or growth, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. When you are ready, I invite you to take that next step—we will move forward at your pace together.

Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a mental health condition in which an individual has difficulty controlling their emotions. People with BPD feel intense emotions for extended periods of time and have difficulty finding balance within these periods of irregularity. The episodes are brought on by emotional triggers. These emotional episodes can lead to strained relationships, self-harm, low self-esteem, and impulsive actions and decisions.
In recent research, it was determined that over 75% of individuals diagnosed with borderline personality disorder are women. Men are also impacted but commonly misdiagnosed.
Borderline personality disorder experience instability and insecurity within their emotions. These signs and symptoms may include:
As with many mental health illnesses, the root cause of borderline personality disorder is not clear and is the source of many research projects. The factors that contribute to the onset of BPD can range from family history to brain imbalances. Here is a breakdown of a few factors:
Borderline personality disorder does not have a concrete testing, which can make it extremely difficult to diagnose. Mental health professionals use comprehensive testing and evaluations that help to determine if the symptoms are in fact indicative of BPD.
BPD patients are treated using personalized plans that address their symptoms. Mental health professionals can use one or more techniques during therapy that includes medication, group therapy, or psychotherapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is usual the first method of treatment mental health professionals uses to treat BPD patients.
These methods are adjusted as the plan progresses depending on how effective the treatment plan is in managing BPD symptoms. If a patient is suicidal, short-term hospitalization may be necessary to ensure their safety until their episode is stabilized.
