About
Being a person that has experienced personal struggles, I understand the ability that we have as individuals to learn the right tools to overcome any circumstance, therefore giving way to the ability to lead effective, fulfilling lives.
I'm Leslie Cain, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over twenty years of experience working with people of all ages experiencing life-altering challenges including grief, anxiety, depression, difficult relationships, substance abuse, and poor coping skills. I've found that the trusting relationship between therapist and client helps us uncover unhealthy patterns and reframe our thoughts toward healing. This process isn't always comfortable—our minds resist retraining. True healing comes when we face hard truths about ourselves. With understanding of your goals and commitment, we can create meaningful change.
In my practice, I use several techniques—Person-Centered and Solution-Focused—but I've found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) most useful. It treats depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship problems, and eating disorders by addressing faulty thinking patterns and learned behaviors.
I know that whatever challenges you're facing can feel heavy, but it takes courage and you don't have to carry it alone. I'm here to help you sort through obstacles and move forward together toward joy and peace. You've got this, and I've got you. I can be the flashlight to shine light on your challenges. Schedule your session today!

For over 25 years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside adults as they navigate the most challenging chapters of their lives, with my approach deeply rooted in the belief that no one is defined by their diagnosis.
My name is Mary Harbin, and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the states of Mississippi and Alabama. I work with adults (18+) who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and mood instability issues.
I specialize in CBT, EMDR, DBT, crisis intervention, trauma, and grief therapy techniques. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, blending evidence-based methods with a warm, nonjudgmental space to help you build skills, regain balance, and move toward your goals.
My goal is to provide a space where you feel genuinely seen and energized. You have been resilient for so long on your own; let’s shift the focus from simply ‘getting by’ to creating a life that feels hopeful and truly yours. I’d love to hear your story.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

With Thriveworks, Online therapy is an effective alternative to in-person therapy services in which a client can speak to a Thriveworks therapist remotely via online video conferencing. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person treatment, but they can also provide added benefits like reduced travel time, saving money on transportation or childcare, and increased access to care.
Online therapy works much like traditional in-person therapy but takes place through secure video conferencing. Clients can attend Online therapy from any safe place they choose that has access to the internet, whether that be their home or another easily accessible place. Like in-person treatment, a therapist will work with their client to address their concerns, create goals, and establish an effective treatment plan.
There is no best option for online therapy—instead, it’s best to focus on finding a provider that meets your specific needs and with whom you can form a professional connection with.
Yes, online therapy is just as effetive for many clients as in-person sessions.
Online therapy can last for a few months to years depending on the goals and symptoms of the client. The treatment process will be unique to each client and lend itself to their specific concerns, which means that the time it takes to treat them will always be different. Timing is also up to the client themselves; they are free to stop therapy whenever they please, especially if they feel they have reached their goals and addressed their concerns.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. More information on current self-pay costs is available on our pricing page.
Our licensed online therapists and counselors work with clients remotely with the same quality of care they provide clients in a face-to-face office setting. Also known as online counseling, online therapy gives you the chance to get professional care from the comfort of your home.

Deciding to meet with a therapist or counselor online does not mean limiting your access to these treatments. If anything, online therapy can present options to people who would otherwise be unable to attend sessions in person. At Thriveworks Counseling, we are happy to provide you with a variety of mental health resources, including:
Some clients prefer online therapy over in-person therapy because it helps them fit mental health care into their busy schedules.
Working with a counselor or therapist online can ease the pressure they might feel from going into an office for those new to therapy. Though our Thriveworks professionals will always provide a judgment-free space for counseling no matter the setting, for some clients being in the comfort of their own home can make opening up about certain topics more manageable. The online therapy format also grants you greater privacy, as you don’t need to go into an office with other people to get the help you need.
For many, this form of therapy is most appealing in how it can save them time. With Thriveworks, we are often able to offer same and next-day appointments online after you enroll. In addition to the minimal wait time before your first session, working in an hour for your mental health doesn’t also involve factoring in a commute.
Do you want to see a therapist or counselor but feel like life keeps getting in the way? With online therapy, scheduling a session with a licensed professional has never been easier. We also offer evening and weekend sessions to help you find a convenient time for mental health care.
We want to make sure sessions can fit into your life, so we provide more than just convenient online appointments. We offer a flexible cancellation policy –– contact us before your appointment to reschedule for a better time. We also accept many major health insurance plans, so care might be more affordable than you think.
