Chloe Gibson is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 2 years of experience. She enjoys assisting adolescents and adults with a range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, anger, academic stress, low self-esteem, grief/loss, trauma, and life transitions. Before joining Thriveworks, Chloe worked in settings including university, partial hospitalization, crisis intervention, and community outreach. With an empathic listening ear, Chloe provides a safe place for clients to tell their stories. She focuses on strengths, not flaws, and how to use them to cultivate resilience.
Chloe received her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Angelo State University. She takes an eclectic approach to therapy and uses a variety of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, emotion-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and positive psychology.
Many people equate themselves with their issues, but Chloe encourages you to externalize the problem and write a new story. She views you as the expert and guides you through challenges while instilling confidence. If you are ready to better your mental health, reach out to Chloe today!

As a Black queer woman with lived experience on both sides of the therapy room, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to the healing process, believing that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Arkansas, Missouri, and Texas, as well as a Certified Sex Therapist and Certified Life Coach. For 17 years, I've worked with adults, primarily women, navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity exploration, life transitions, and sexual concerns. I provide an affirming, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore who they are, strengthen their relationships, and create lives that feel more authentic and fulfilling.
Therapy isn't about fixing who you are. It's about understanding what shaped you, identifying what no longer serves you, and building the skills to move forward with greater confidence and intention. I integrate EMDR, ACT, attachment-focused, psychodynamic, and somatic approaches to support meaningful, lasting change.
You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You just have to believe that things can be different. If you're ready to better understand yourself, heal from what's been holding you back, and build a life that feels more aligned with who you are, I'd be honored to support you on that journey.

Marriage counseling, also known as couples therapy and relationship counseling, helps couples work through their specific relationship issues. Thriveworks marriage counseling in Austin, TX is led by licensed professionals — often licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) — who are experts in their field and best-equipped to help couples. Some examples of common focuses within Marriage counseling include:
Marriage counseling works by helping couples identify and better navigate their unique challenges. Following an initial assessment of the couple in terms of strengths and needs, the therapist would then discuss their therapeutic goals and any possible approaches or ways of working together as therapist and couple.Couples attend sessions together, whether they meet in person or by video. In addition to regular marriage counseling sessions, each partner may also be asked to attend a few individual sessions to supplement their progress. This will allow their counselor to get to know each individual better, assess each of their personal needs, and develop the very best treatment plan moving forward.
Marriage counseling at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you and your partner.
On average, couples attend marriage counseling for 12 weeks. However, marriage counseling may last longer or shorter, dependent on the couples’ needs, the challenges they’d like to work through, and the pace of their progress.
