About
As someone who has utilized counseling to overcome unforeseen adversities in my personal life, I have gained insightful perspectives to navigate challenging and exciting life circumstances by developing a growth mindset, effective coping skills, and a renewed sense of self.
As a licensed professional counselor, I have educational backgrounds in Sport & Exercise Psychology and Counseling Psychology from working with youth through professional athletes. I am a Certified Personality Disorder Treatment provider and am currently pursuing my Mental Performance Consulting certification. I have worked in private practice and community mental health with children, teens, and adults, addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and relationship conflicts. Currently, I work with individuals motivated to improve their mental performance, career development, financial psychology, identity, and wellness.
I enjoy helping clients identify their strengths, build confidence through thought-provoking questions and exercises, develop coping skills, and accept uncontrollable outcomes. I use mental performance strategies and positive psychology to build resilience and self-esteem so clients can craft new narratives and grow through difficult circumstances.
My goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free space where you can talk freely about your concerns and work through them to increase your well-being. You are showing positive steps by reaching out. I look forward to helping you find creative solutions, empowering your self-esteem, building new pathways of success, and sustaining meaningful purpose in your life.

As one who has undergone trauma, loss and life changes. I understand how these circumstances impact life and how important it is to understand, grow, and learn new skills to build a new life in which we can thrive.
I am a licensed associate counselor (LAC) dedicated to providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan and from diverse backgrounds, supporting them through a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief, trauma, stress, life transitions, and women's issues. I also have a strong passion for working with neurodiverse individuals. I help individuals understand their emotions, build confidence and skills to navigate the world around them better.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy to help clients understand the root of their challenges, develop coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and create meaningful goals for change.
I strive to create a space where clients feel safe to explore. Many come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. Together, we work on building self-awareness, strengthening self-esteem, and fostering resilience—finding their voice, setting healthy boundaries, and moving toward a balanced and fulfilling life. I'd love to work with you!

As one who has experienced personal trauma and loss, I believe that those experiences don't define us. I believe that healing from those experiences is possible.
Hi, I'm Morgan Jackson, a licensed professional counselor who believes therapy should feel like a collaborative, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are. I earned my master's degree in professional counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2020, and since then I've had the privilege of helping individuals navigate life's challenges, transitions, and personal growth. My approach is flexible and client-centered because there's no one-size-fits-all path to healing. Together, we'll find what works best for you, your goals, and your unique circumstances. Outside the therapy office, I'm a mom to two teenage sons and four very spoiled French Bulldogs who keep life interesting. I'm also a fan of all things pink and glitter.
One of the beliefs that guides both my personal life and professional work is that "everything is figureoutable." That doesn't mean life is easy or that challenges disappear overnight. It means that even when things feel overwhelming, confusing, or stuck, there is always a path forward. Sometimes we just need support, perspective, and the right tools to help us find it.
Whether you're working through anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, or simply trying to better understand yourself, I'd be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Anxiety therapy helps people better understand and manage their anxiety. Anxiety therapists at Thriveworks in Tucson, AZ can develop a treatment plan that will help you better manage your day-to-day anxiety or your anxiety disorder.
Anxiety therapy involves talking to a therapist about symptoms, potential causes, and more. Thriveworks Tucson therapists will then work with you to determine where your anxiety might stem from and teach you effective coping mechanisms.
One of the best ways to deal with anxiety is to learn about your own anxiety: your symptoms, what triggers it, and what coping mechanisms have been effective in the past. When you learn what your anxiety is tied to, it can help you be mindful of what’s really happening as well as prevent and mitigate symptoms by processing and working through the issue in therapy. Other strategies that have been shown to help manage anxiety are meditation, challenging anxious thoughts, exercising, and journaling.
Common symptoms of anxiety include:
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can be incredibly effective in treating anxiety and anxiety disorders. Other effective techniques include exposure therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and EMDR therapy.
Anxiety therapy is conducted both in person and online, depending on the individual’s preferences and their therapist’s availability. We suggest choosing the option that best suits your needs.
On average, people can tend to attend 15 to 20 session of anxiety therapy (five or more months). However, this number is heavily dependent on the type of anxiety that’s being treated and its severity, with many choosing to attend anxiety therapy for a longer period of time to ensure its effectiveness long-term.
Yes, it is worth going to therapy for anxiety. If you are struggling with regular anxious thoughts and feelings that are affecting your day-to-day life or you suspect that you have an anxiety disorder, you should seek expert anxiety help.
Fear is a normal part of our human life and actually plays a vital role in helping us navigate it. It will warn us of danger with a tight feeling in our gut about a situation/relationship that could be destructive; send a signal through the body when we are not taking care of our physical health; go on full emotional and physical alert when it’s time to fight, flight or freeze. At it’s best; it helps us live more constructive lives by allowing us to avoid the pitfalls. For all that, we tip our hat to it.
When fear gets out of control, though, creating Chronic and/or Severe Anxiety, it becomes more like a pervasive, insistent cry that everything in life is a danger and protecting the self in each given moment is imperative. If you experience this, we know that it can be an excruciating experience. It can leave you feeling constantly raw and exposed to an unsafe world. If this resonates with you, reach out to Thriveworks Tucson for help.
Severe anxiety takes a toll not only on the mind, but also the body, which was not designed to be on constant alert status. Here are a few signs of anxiety:
Eventually, this anxious state wears down many physical systems in our bodies, including immune, digestive, cardiovascular, hormonal and respiratory. Now, we feel anxious and physically weak… which in turn can produce more anxiety and difficulty focusing on any kind of solution. And, it becomes a cycle that’s hard to get out of.
At Thriveworks Tucson, we are committed to help you move out of that cycle and experience increasing moments of calm, presence & peace. We’ve seen these results when we blend awareness of the underlying cause(s) with structured modalities, tools and powerful practices, including:
As you read this, it’s estimated that over 18% of adults in the United States struggle with anxiety disorders. That means that 40 million people, in this country alone, are facing the same challenges everyday. If you are one of them, please know you are not alone and that help is closer then you think. It takes that first step to reach out. When you do, we will be there.
Thriveworks Tucson can offer anxiety help as soon as this week. In addition, we offer evening and weekend sessions, and we accept most major insurances. Reach out to us today to get started.
