About
As one who has experienced my own traumas, losses and other "bumps in the road" life throws at us, I can identify with others in distress and try to align with them in finding their personal path to healing and empowerment.
My name is Jeff Miller, and I have been in the mental health field for over 30 years. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work. My experience is varied—beginning in Cuyahoga County investigating allegations of abuse and neglect with extensive Juvenile Court involvement, then expanding to children and teens in foster care, residential treatment, and adoption settings. I have also worked with adults managing chronic or acute mental health conditions and dual diagnoses. I am open to working with most concerns, though depression and anxiety—often rooted in trauma and loss—are what I most typically address.
Building a therapeutic relationship and aligning with clients to find their “path” to healing is at the heart of my work. I help normalize certain feelings, and approach each person without judgment. I am honest and respectful of what a client can manage at any point in the process. Trust is developed and earned over time, and I fully understand that.
I look forward to meeting you and will always start from where you are. Our journey together will hopefully bring new understandings and positive life changes.

Life can be hard, and I believe we all benefit from the extra support counseling can bring. None of us are perfect, but we cannot let our mistakes define us. Life's challenges can make us stronger, and help us get to know our resilient selves.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 25 years of experience as a therapist. As a seasoned clinician, I have worked with diverse populations across the lifespan including adolescents, young adults, couples, and seniors. I work with people struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship issues and many other obstacles we all face. I know how difficult it can be to ask her help; it can be uncomfortable, and requires a great deal of personal courage. I truly feel that it is a privilege to help others endeavoring to navigate life's challenges.
I strive to provide a judgement-free space for my clients to feel seen and understood. I use evidence-based therapeutic techniques, drawing from CBT, DBT, ACT, psycho-dynamic therapy, among others. I believe in building on your strengths to improve your confidence and help you become the best version of yourself you can be.
Again, I commend you for seeking help, and invite you to take the next step by setting an appointment. Our first meeting will be relaxed as we get to know one another. Therapy will go at the pace you are comfortable with. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

I look forward to helping you on your healing journey with compassion, empathy, and understanding because we are all humans navigating life together.
Hello, my name is Alicia, and I have experience working in the mental health field for over 10 years. I have experience working with people who have experienced many different types of trauma such as abuse, violence, grief, or many other terrible things that life throws at us. I also have experience helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD, and other mental health struggles.
I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach to therapy. I believe that because we are all unique individuals, we require a unique and individual approach to healing. I take pride in my eagerness to learn different ways to help my clients. I have training and experience in EMDR, DBT, CBT, psychotherapy, mindfulness, and general talk therapy.
I believe in meeting people where they are at. Whether that means just meeting to vent or processing deeper emotions. I am ready when you are and I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your healing journey.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Individual therapy, also known as Individual therapy, allows people to engage in private sessions with a skilled therapist, counselor, or psychologist. The core objective of individual therapy is to establish a secure and confidential setting where you can openly discuss whatever emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges you face. Through these one-on-one sessions, the client and therapist work together to delve into, comprehend, and ultimately find solutions for the issues at hand in their life.
Individual therapy unfolds in a structured process, commencing with an initial assessment in which the therapist gathers essential information about your history, concerns, and objectives. Together, you and your therapist collaboratively establish specific, attainable goals for your sessions, which can encompass symptom alleviation, personal development, or finding solutions to particular challenges.
Yes, individual therapy, also known as Individual therapy, at Thriveworks can help you to improve your mental health and overall quality of life.
