In February 2025, I transitioned to a psychiatric provider. I specialize in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention, and therapeutic support, with a particular focus on depression and anxiety. I am committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their mental health journey.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered. I specialize in depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and stress-related conditions. My focus is on thoughtful medication management while helping clients understand their symptoms and options. Clients can expect to be active partners in their care, with plans adjusted as needed.
Reaching out can feel overwhelming, especially when you have been carrying pain or anxiety for a long time. If you feel exhausted, stuck, or not like yourself, you are not alone. My goal is to meet you where you are with compassion and understanding. Together, we will build a plan that supports your goals. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

My go-to approach for helping people in cognitive behavioral therapy is helping someone challenge their negative thinking patterns, emotions, and behaviors. I find the best benefit in recognizing distorted thinking patterns because this helps the client reevaluate their way of thinking.
I teach the following tools in cognitive behavioral therapy:
I know a client is making meaningful progress in cognitive behavioral therapy when the client has been focused on the present and is able to reframe their way of thinking.
Clients can supplement their time in cognitive behavioral therapy by working on being present, challenging any negative thinking patterns they face, and working towards changing their thoughts and behaviors by utilizing relaxation tools.
To prepare for their first cognitive behavioral therapy session, an individual can start by reflecting on patterns in their negative thoughts and being motivated to continue the work in therapy sessions.
At Thriveworks, Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a widely recognized and evidence-based form of psychotherapy or talk therapy. It focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors that can contribute to various mental health issues or challenges that people are struggling with.
Cognitive behavioral therapists specialize in Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and can help you to identify and comprehend your thought patterns, which often encompass automatic negative thoughts, cognitive distortions, and self-defeating beliefs. Once these negative thought patterns are pinpointed, cognitive behavioral therapists aim to challenge and replace them with the objective of fostering more constructive and logical thinking. In addition, these therapists place significant emphasis on implementing positive behavioral changes based on the newly established, healthier thought patterns.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is particularly effective for addressing conditions like anxiety disorders, depression, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. It focuses on identifying and modifying negative thought patterns and behaviors, making it well-suited for issues related to distorted thinking and emotional regulation.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. More information on current self-pay costs is available on our pricing page.
The success rate of CBT varies depending on the intentions of the client and their condition(s).
The selection between cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is based on an individual’s unique needs and challenges. CBT is commonly chosen for addressing conditions such as anxiety and depression, whereas DBT is especially beneficial for individuals dealing with borderline personality disorder, emotional regulation issues, and difficulties in interpersonal relationships.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with our Thriveworks therapists in Cherry Hill, NJ is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Generally, CBT is considered a short-term therapy, typically lasting for about 12 to 20 weekly sessions. In some cases, it might extend to around 16 to 20 sessions for more complex issues.
Do you find yourself feeling restless and can never relax? Do you feel like you worry all the time and struggle to control worrying? Do you get stressed over constantly losing or misplacing things, procrastinating, easily distracted, or difficulty concentrating? Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at Thriveworks Cherry Hill can help with symptoms such as these and much more. Reach out to Thriveworks today to schedule your appointment.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most empirically researched therapeutic approaches that emphasizes one’s self-thought process and psychological distress that disrupts the cognitive processes in changing the way one thinks resulting in a positive healthy change in behavior and affect. In other words, this therapy acts upon psychological distress in reducing destructive behaviors caused by the distress and over the course of treatments, an individual will be able to identify new ways of reacting to difficulties that may trigger the negative behaviors impacting the patient’s daily life.
CBT is effective when working in family, couples, and group settings. It’s also commonly applied when working with children, adolescences and individuals with depression and anxiety disorders. This approach results in positive behavioral changes due to collaborative therapeutic relationship between client and counselor, in which the individual plays an active role in and out of the session.
Since CBT does promote independency of the client, individuals are expected to complete assignments on their own time, such as writing journals, using relaxation techniques, distraction from the stimulus and breathing control to name a few. CBT incorporates homework assignments that focus on changing the individual’s self-thoughts, and perspectives. It helps identify what is realistic, true and rational.
CBT has been used in treatments such as:
