About
As someone who has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, I understand that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs and goals.
I'm Amatoritsero Clarke, a Clinical Mental Health Therapist and Outpatient Clinician dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescents and adults facing a variety of mental health challenges. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, mood disorders, grief, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. My goal is to help clients gain insight, develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful, lasting change in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment.
I provide a warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive approach tailored to each client's unique needs. Using evidence-based therapies, including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care, I help clients strengthen coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and achieve meaningful, lasting growth.
Life's challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face them alone. My goal is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where you can gain insight, build confidence, and develop the tools needed to thrive. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

My go to approach for helping people in individual therapy is taking a humanistic approach. I prefer this approach because it recognizes the uniqueness of every single client.
In individual therapy I use positive psychology and teach clients how to process and reflect on their feelings. We learn how to be confident in our decision making and there is an emphasis on striving for excellence vs. being perfect.
I can tell when a client is making meaningful progress after the client stops to mention or bring up what exactly brought them to therapy. At that moment I take the time to review treatment plan and refocus our care.
On their own personal time the clients can do the homework that is assigned by the clinician.
The client should try to organize why there are coming to therapy and what they would like to get out of therapy.
Individual therapy, also known as Individual therapy, allows people to engage in private sessions with a skilled therapist, counselor, or psychologist. The core objective of individual therapy is to establish a secure and confidential setting where you can openly discuss whatever emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges you face. Through these one-on-one sessions, the client and therapist work together to delve into, comprehend, and ultimately find solutions for the issues at hand in their life.
Individual therapy unfolds in a structured process, commencing with an initial assessment in which the therapist gathers essential information about your history, concerns, and objectives. Together, you and your therapist collaboratively establish specific, attainable goals for your sessions, which can encompass symptom alleviation, personal development, or finding solutions to particular challenges.
Yes, individual therapy, also known as Individual therapy, at Thriveworks can help you to improve your mental health and overall quality of life.
Individual therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and via Online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
The duration of your individual therapy sessions will vary. The decision on the number and frequency of sessions is typically collaboratively determined by the client and therapist.
